Nicole Salem: Founder of Peoplekind Co
Hi, I'm Nicole Salem, founder of PeopleKind Consulting and someone who knows how much better work becomes when we put people first.
My background is in finance and operations, and for years I led cross-functional teams inside growing companies. But what truly shaped my approach to HR was realizing how much leadership decisions impact people’s lives how we onboard, how we support managers, how we build systems that empower people to do their best work without burning out.
I created PeopleKind to help growing organizations turn their HR into a strategic advantage. I bring a balance of structure and heart blending AI and people analytics with a deep understanding of how to create cultures where employees thrive. I believe HR should feel modern, accessible, and centered on real people.
My son Nevin is at the heart of PeopleKind. All four of my boys are. Nevin passed away several years ago, but before he did, he gave an inspiring speech about chasing your dreams. His words continue to push me forward and remind me what matters most: impact, opportunity, and compassion.
In his honor, I started the Nevin Salem Foundation a workforce readiness program helping low-income job seekers access upskilling opportunities, navigate the hiring process, and break through today’s complex ATS systems. It’s about opening doors for those who deserve a chance to grow, succeed, and be seen.
